"A genuine moment of free expression..."
"It was such a pleasure to work on this project! We wanted to start from rough sketches and a research notebook, and — thanks to the freedom that Arkit allowed us — breathe life into the floor using the arts and crafts to give it a degree of creativity and new human warmth! We turned to acrylic paint and ballpoint pens, all the simplest tools, to express ourselves on the floors as though they were a large canvas. It was a genuine moment of free expression, the kind of thing designers often fantasise about! So, thanks Arkit for this wonderful collaboration!"Benjamin Poulanges

"I immersed myself one more ine the pleasure of sketching..."
"The project was something of a surprise in an age where everything is digital. So, it was time to pack up the computer and dig out the coloured pencils from the back of the cupboard, together with the pastels and sketchbooks whose paper had turned yellow over the years. I let myself be submerged in the smells that I had stored in my memory bank in a folder entitled Ecole des Beaux-Arts. I immersed myself once more in the pleasure of sketching, hatching and colouring... My designs originate mainly in just that: pleasure."

"More softness, warmth, subtlety..."

"PVC floor coverings adapt tremendously well to the world of «contracts». I had to revamp the colours and material effects of the Arkit collection to generate the same enthusiasm for the housing market, with more softness, warmth and subtlety. All this was aimed at creating a real link with current trends in decoration: mix and match, geometric or floral patterns for upholstery and wallpaper, as well as the great decorative arts comeback for furniture and lighting.
I’d like to say a big thank you to Marie-Noëlle Plassard for assigning me this mission for 2017. It was a genuine delight for me!"
Young talent collection
Margot BriandOnly 20 years old and already highly talented…
Margot grew up in Chamonix in a close-knit family that was devoted to sports, but her love of the arts proved stronger and took her in other directions. She moved to Lyon and studied Applied Arts, in particular Fashion Design, at the Ecole de Condé.
It was in the context of a project between ARTEPY and the school that they met. (Competition/project into creative flooring decorations research). Margot won 1st prize and so it was only natural that ARTEPY should entrust to her the artistic creation of its future model.
